Remember I said the greenhouse makes a great hide for watching birds in the garden?
Our woodpecker! (That blue thing hung over the branch is the end of the top bar of the old swing: Kai doesn't like throwing out things that might just possibly maybe one day be useful...) Ken came out to help me get the makeshift greenhouse water butt set up: the woodpecker was digging into Kai's log scramble, so we waited until it flew away of its own accord, me cursing that I didn't have the camera. But then it came back again and started on the goat willow. After it had flown off, we thought it might come back again, so I grabbed camera and ensconced myself in the greenhouse (potted on some marigolds and salad leaves while I was there) and waited. Isn't it cute? These were taken from the greenhouse door with the camera's zoom on max. Just think what I could have done with the new Olympus with its 18x magnification...
It's been a day of general garden stuff and client site updates, which I still haven't finished. Need to get that done now if I'm to have any fun tonight.
Back to the rockface.
[sigh] pisses me off that blogger puts in that bloody awful gap above a table...
