I live to write. It's not wise to get in my way.
August 2011: the earlier posts in this blog are a mess, the result of me changing the format some time ago. I'm working to edit the entire blog from the beginning, but with over 4K posts and sodall time for such luxuries it's going to take a while... [02/09/16 - Now reached 09/10/2004][20/03/2019 - giving up. I don't have enough time to update the blog atm, let alone edit old entries!]
If you come across any words you don't recognise in this blog, take a look at the Taylorspeke Glossary in the left-hand infopane, you'll usually find a definition there.
First, a recommendation. Dive over to The Jonathan Day Fiction Site and try some of the stories. I love this author's writing - it's funny, bitingly witty, dryly incisive, chilling, and deliciously subversive by turns. Absolutely well worth a look!

I am definitely mad…
I sat down earlier and made a list of things I have 'in progress' or in my 'to do - urgent' file. I need clones… immortality… a TARDIS…. The result was terrifying…
The follow-up to Strange Attractor.
The follow-up to How Gogul got his Eyes.
A follow-up to Innocence.
The orgy fic based on one of Naomi's pics.
The Legato (Trigun) fic that's been bubbling.
The follow-up to Lustre.
Sue's challenge - a story that makes her cry.
The follow-ups to Flight and Fancy.
Forbidden (only one chapter and the epilogue to go…)
Timeslipping (feel really guilty about that one - how many years has it been?)
The MMICIFiles and the Beauday and Doyaal stories…
The Alliance Chronicles, of course, planned up as far as AC6 and with the penultimate and last chapters already half written (yes, this monster does have an end!)
I've lost track of how many request and planned pics I have listed.
Then there's all the backstories - the zn'hre, Zorun and Kelapa, Nappa, more Merica and Jagung, etc etc…
And in what laughingly passes for 'real life'…
The additional chapters for FirstLight (and the struggle to find an agent), and finishing the rest of the series.
Book reviews for Crowsnest.
Finishing the Celtic book proposal for our non-fic agent.
And I promised my Good Twin a natal chart for her mum-in-law's birthday in September.
And that's without mentioning keeping a 7-year old occupied during his 6 week school summer holiday and running house/garden/menagerie/partner…
So what do I do? Gleefully accept the invitation to Purgatory… (a kind of yaoi literary RPG.)
Oh, and start this blog, of course.
[sigh] Someone once called me a "lovely but demented workhorse." Not sure about the lovely part but demented is certainly true!
Ah well - who needs sleep anyway?
Better stop whinging and go and do some of the above, hadn't I!
