[grumble] It's taken three days but I feel a little better. Only I've
completely lost my voice, can't speak above a whisper, which is a real pain - and my ribs hurt from coughing. Eh well, it's finite.
Ryme asleep on the sofa. Yes, that is one of her back legs she's hugging...
She's still pretty supple, even if she does walk a little stiffly these days. Lots of white in her fur too, though you can't see it here. She's really getting quite old for a kit.
But this pic is a real favourite! Definitely a "soddoff, I've had a
haaard day" sort of a picture...
On Saturday I took Kai to Keynsham to visit Jun and Yumi: Ruth guided us on a walk along the river a short way outside the town. Very pretty - dragonflies, swifts, swallows, and some bullocks with attitude. Strictly speaking I should have stayed home, but I didn't want to disappoint the sprogs. We had to leave earlier than anyone really wanted - I just felt too ill to carry on - but Kai thoroughly enjoyed himself, and it
is a pleasant walk. We'll have to do it again when I'm not dead on my feet.
I've not done a lot today except sleep (well, had to get over to Tesco to pick up the photos: there are a few that Ken wants for the Bris Ghosts book) but it was much needed. Ken's back is a little better, but not enough for him to get to the school and back. I'm dreading it tomorrow, only have to walk a few yards and I start coughing...
Tch, I'm whinging. I'll stop now.
Sci-fi Channel have had an
Alien Nation weekend, showing all the films (including one -
The Udara Legacy - I hadn't managed to catch before) which has been fun. One of these years I might even manage to re-watch my tapes of the series before they all turn to rust.
I finally managed to get a decent photo of the window draperies!
Pretty,
